Today was an interesting day. It involved alot of traveling and waiting. How you ask, well, prepare for one long post... It all started out with meeting Ms Dal. (Note: I will always use unique nicknames instead of real names in my blog, makes it easier to keep track of). Anyway, we met up with her, and procceded with the plan to buy a Flying V guitar and a 70W guitar amplifier for Ms Dal. Mr T suggested we carried it with us, but considering the wast distance between the store and Ms Dal's house, he was voted off the council of elders. He is now a rat dropping maggot. The crew decided in wether to take the train then bus, or bus all the way. Little did we know what cruel results this decision had on our trip. I, as usual, didn't have much interest in the discussion, as I probably couldn't care less. Yes, I was stupid, but at least I can blame the others that way.
We got on the bus, and I took a seat next to Ms Dal. Mr T sat to our right. We sat there a while as the bus bussed on for quite a while, only to frequently laughing at the names of the stops along the way (Svenskerud, cmon). After something I would call a good while we got to our stop. Or, we got to a stop which name was the same as the one we were supposed to get off at. Yea, you might see where this is going, but hang in there, the fun part has just started! So, we got off, and looked around as Ms Dal got some maps. "Are we at the right place?" "Could be." *Goes up random road to explore* Hmm... This road isn't even on the map... Oh well, we'll just go a fecking long way along it until we actually figure that out. Better late than never I suppose.
Yea... Wrong stop. Quick walk back to the bus stop, only to find out that the bus goes past the stop every hour. Yea. Call some randoms with accsess to a computer to find out where hell we are. "Youre approx. 25 km from where you should be.." Heh. And of course I had to say the
inevitable.
"At least it's not raining!"
This is just in, I can jinx people! Yes it started raining, no neither I or Ms Dal had jackets or umbrellas with us, and Mr T had some mysterious cloac which shielded him from the rain! To sum it up somewhat, we waited 1 hour at a barren bus stop with frequent intervals of rain. Not just dusky rain, no no, it rained facking cats and dogs. Eventually though, the bus did come, and we got on it, and eventually we arrived at the correct stop. As stated above this was about 25KM, so it took a while. Luckily for us though, the names of the bus stops didn't get any less funny. We walked in random directions for a few minutes until we found the right place, I personaly blame the map we had for being poor.
Ms Dal got down on a chair to try the equipment, and save for some random crackle from the amplifier, which the store keeper blamed on "Ground in the chords", it seemed rather decent. After some time, Ms Dals parents arrived to make sure it wasn't a complete ripoff, and the shopkeeper demonstrated why it was such a nice buy. After some back and forth, we left without anything but a promise to come back tomorrow, to give some time to think about it. It took about 2 minutes though, we got to the car, and then Ms Dal decided she wanted it. Nice one Ms Dal! (Y)
Hm, this post got even longer than I first thought. Oh well.
We got to Ms Dals place, and made Taco-stuff (yay for direct translations) and watched a few movies. Apparently I was the only one who managed to stay awake, as both of the others went to hunt in wonderland for nothing but a few minutes each. Eventually we bid Ms Dal farewell, and started the journey home. After a few hours I stepped over my own doorstep, tired as hell from walking all the way from town, only to collapse in my chair and start writing this. I will not sleep, yet anyway!
When reading this, do as I did while writing it, a little at a time! This was the story of the "Quest of the Flying V" which ended in no flying V, but no matter! Time for TF2!
